The 9-1-1 Public Education Team originated in April of 2002 as a group of 9-1-1 telecommunicator/dispatchers who were concerned about the proper use of 9-1-1. It was their consensus that the system could provide more effective service if the general public understood how 9-1-1 worked, what are its capabilities, and how to appropriately utilize 9-1-1. A slide presentation was developed for use in educating adult users. To see this presentation CLICK HERE. To arrange for a presentation to your club or group by a qualified 9-1-1 dispather, contact Mark Adler at (561) 712-6486, or madler@pbcgpv.org.
